Public or Private Schools

In the United States, there are two different types of schools for children from kindergarten to grade 12 (ages 5-18). Public schools are the most common and are open to everybody to enroll. Private schools must be applied to, and are more selective than public schools-only those who have their application accepted can enroll into the school. Private schools are more expensive than public schools, and usually have stricter rules, like a dress code, for example.
