The Iowa Workforce Development is a state-wide organization that contributes to the economic security of Iowa. They do this by providing various services for Iowans that help them find jobs, along with aiding employers to find quality employees. These services include employment help, education and regulation of health, safety and employment laws. The link to Iowa Workforce Development’s various addresses is below.
There are 543 public libraries in Iowa (go to http://www.publiclibraries.com/iowa.htm for full list of them). Some of the libraries have resources in other languages so do not hesitate to ask a librarian if they provide bi-lingual resources. The Iowa International Center works with the public libraries and each has a copy of the “Welcome to Iowa Guide” which has many resources in eight different languages. If you cannot find the guides at the libraries on your own, ask a librarian if she/he can provide you with one, either online or hard copy.
